Business Development Manager

Job description

The Business Developer Manager shall be focusing on recruiting in Iraq, top online sellers per each category into ZoodMall marketplace and ZoodPay Fintech buy now pay later solution. They shall be providing the opportunity to develop the sellers’ business in Iraq.

The Business Developer Manager shall be working closely with Key Account Managers, Technology team, and other departments to ensure a smooth and successful integration, once they establish a formal relationship with the sellers. We have two available positions for Business Development Managers, Fashion, Clothes, Beauty, Accessories, Home & Deco categories and Communication, Computer, and Consumer electronics categories.


Based in Iraq, you will be responsible for:

  • Identifying potential partnership opportunities by researching market/industry and keeping a close eye on key developments in the region
  • Using knowledge of the market and competitors, identifying and developing the company's unique selling propositions and differentiators
  • Meeting potential clients by growing, maintaining, and leveraging professional network
  • Establishing and leveraging high-level relationships with key decision-makers of top Iraqi sellers.
  • Identifying and mapping business strengths and customer needs
  • Conducting regular business review meetings, including forecast calls with global teams
  • Working towards achieving daily KPIs and monthly sales target
  • Compiling and analyzing performance metrics to assess placements effectiveness and to identify new opportunities
  • Managing all efforts to develop and implement the strategy alongside, internal and external partners ensuring that the set plans operate reliably
  • Ensuring strategies and business plans are developed, documented, communicated, and implemented
  • Working with IT, Product, and Marketing global teams

Job requirements

  • Proven working experience – minimum 4 years – as a Business Development Manager, Sales Executive or a relevant role
  • Proficient knowledge in e-commerce industry
  • Proven sales track record
  • Experience in creative and aggressive sales prospecting, a Business Development Manager mentality
  • Professional and fearless presentation skills
  • Capability to build a strong rapport with existing and potential clients
  • Ability to work effectively within fast paced, diverse cross functional teams
  • Self-motivated, high personal expectations, team player, client focused, well organized, analytical mindset
  • Fluent in Arabic and English languages
  • Proficiency in MS Office and CRM software (e.g. Odoo)
  • Communication and negotiation skills
